Delete your account
Done from inside the app, in three taps, effective immediately.
- Open PocketPass and go to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete Account.
- Read the warning and confirm with Delete Forever.
This cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way to restore a deleted account, not even by the team.
What is erased
Everything tied to your account goes at once:
- Your sign-in identity, profile, Piips and avatar images.
- Your friend code, friendships, friend requests and blocks.
- Every message you sent, anywhere. Your direct conversations are removed for both people, including the other person's messages in them.
- Your encounters, on both sides: the people you met lose the record too.
- Tokens, purchases, achievements, Bingo progress, step history and supporter status.
- Notifications, connected-app permissions, and any apps you registered in the developer portal.
In group chats you leave rather than vanish: if you owned the group it passes to the member who joined next, and a group left with nobody in it is deleted with its messages.
What remains for a while
- Encrypted backups can hold a copy of your data for up to about seven days after deletion, then it is gone from them too.
- Images you attached to messages are not yet removed automatically when the account is deleted. They stay in private storage that nobody can open once the conversation is gone, until the team clears them. Ask on Discord if you want that done right away.
- Ko-fi payment notices keep the payer email and amount as a record of the payment, no longer linked to any account.
- Anonymous request counts for apps you connected, and the team's audit trail of support actions, which does not contain your messages or profile.
Cannot sign in?
If you no longer have access to the email or Discord account you signed up with, ask on the PocketPass Discord and the team will sort it out with you. A username account with no linked email address cannot be recovered: the team cannot reset or look up passwords, so if the password is lost the account stays inaccessible and a new one has to be created.
