How passes work
The idea is the same as StreetPass on the Nintendo 3DS.

Your phone holds a few passes
The app keeps a few single-use passes on your phone. None of them says who you are.

Passing someone exchanges one
Two phones with PocketPass in Bluetooth range trade a pass, even in the background with the screen off.

Both of you confirm
Once you both confirm, you see each other's Piip and greeting, and you both earn tokens.
Passes are anonymous until both sides confirm, and encrypted so they cannot be copied or forged.

- A new card of goals each week. 25 tokens per completed line, 150 for a full card.

Piips
Your Piip is the avatar other people see when you pass them.
Make one in the editor, keep a few in slots, or import a Mii with a Pretendo Network ID. Hats cost tokens in the shop, and a Ko-fi membership unlocks all of them for 36 days per payment, matched by your Ko-fi email or the account named in the message.

Sites and apps can connect to PocketPass accounts.
Sign users in with PocketPass and use the API for profiles, friends, messages, notifications, tokens and encounters, with live updates. People see what an app asks for and can disconnect it at any time.
